Most clients give a developer a vague idea and hope for the best.

That is not a brief.

That is a starting point for misunderstanding.

A good brief does not require technical knowledge.

It requires clarity about your business.

Here is what a proper brief looks like:

1️⃣ Who You Are and What You Do
Include:

✔ What you sell or offer
✔ Who your customers are
✔ What makes you different

A developer must understand your business before they can represent it online.

2️⃣ What You Want the Website to Do
Focus on purpose, not design.

Do you want it to:

State clearly:
