"One More Time — He Is Not Done With You Yet"
WHAT DO YOU WANT ME TO DO FOR YOU?
— Mark 10:51 (NIV)
Jesus asked a blind man what he wanted. He didn't assume. He didn't diagnose and prescribe without consulting. He stopped, looked at Bartimaeus and asked — what do you want me to do for you? It is one of the most intimate questions in all of Scripture. The Son of God, standing in front of a beggar, genuinely asking what he needed.
The answer Bartimaeus gave was the most honest thing he could have said. Not "give me money" — though that was his daily need. Not "give me status" — though blindness had cost him everything socially. He asked for the root thing. The thing that, if changed, would change everything else. I want to see. Jesus is asking you the same question today. Not what you think you should ask for. What do you actually want? Be as honest as Bartimaeus. Ask for the root thing.
Jesus, You are asking me today — what do I want You to do for me? I will be honest. I want to see. I want to perceive what You are doing. I want my eyes fully open to You. Amen.
Sit with Jesus' question today — "What do you want me to do for you?" Answer it honestly. Not the spiritual answer. The real one.
