THIRTY EIGHT YEARS AND THE ANSWER WAS ONE QUESTION AWAY

Thirty eight years beside the pool.

Thirty eight years watching others get healed.

Thirty eight years of the same answer — "I have no one to help me."

And then Jesus walked up and asked a question that must have seemed almost offensive in its simplicity.

Do you want to get well?

The man's eyes were fixed on the pool — on the method he had decided was the only way healing could come.

But healing was standing right in front of him in a form he hadn't expected and hadn't asked for.

The pool was not the healer. Jesus was.

And Jesus was already there.

The breakthrough this man needed was not in the water — it was in redirecting his eyes from the method to the Person.

What method have you been staring at so hard that you've missed the One standing right in front of you?

Lord, forgive me for the times I've been so fixed on how I think You should move that I've missed You moving differently. Open my eyes to You — not just to the method. Amen.
